Network adapter not getting IP addres

Host: Windows 11 21H2

Guest: Ubuntu 22.04

Using NAT but I have tried with Bridged as well with the same results. It seems like VMWare networking is broken for some reason.

My network adapter is not being assigned an address anymore:

$ ip addr show

I've tried uninstalling VMWare and installing it again, resetting all network settings to defaults, but still no luck.

This is what I see in my Network Connections panel:
