Network Settings in Test Lab in VMWare WorkStation

Hi Team,

Need a small help. I newly learning VMware Workstation. I have WM Workstation 7.x install on my home PC. I want to create a test lab situation by installing & configuring DHCP & DNS server in Windows 2008 server & a Windows 7 as workstation. Both will be on VM. And want to configure a private DHCP server on that Windows 2008 server & wanted the W7 workstation to get IP from the DHCP server which I would create in that VM. Also adding that W7 into that domain. (All will be in VM)  Don't want to use inbuilt DHCP of VMware Workstation.

Regards

Suvankar Chakraborty.

You can use the "Host Only" networking and disable the DHCP server of VMware for the Host Only (vmnet1) network on the Virtual Network Editor:
