Neither Workstation Pro 15.5.5 or 15.5.6 will install on Ubuntu 19.10 or 20.04. There are no error messages other than the statement that the installation was unsuccessful.
$ sudo bash VMware-Workstation-Full-15.5.6-16341506.x86_64.bundle

I can install 15.5.2 without problems.
Is there some way to get additional information about what the problem is?
I have read that sometimes installing using run ./VMware-Workstation-15.5.6-16341506.x86_64.bundle --console --ignore-errors works and can provide some hints.
If there is a version of WS installed, you can use that to completely remove it using vmware-installer -i VMware-Workstation-15.5.6-16341506.x86_64.bundle
If everything fails, there may be leftovers from previous WS installations and you need to search in the Community for similar threads on how to clean, or wait for a linux guy to help.

That worked.
Thanks
