Hello,
I am trying to revive my VM from a failed ESXi install. I have tried to move the VM files from my ESXi to my Win10 box. The transfer finished with no errors that I know of. I went to power on the VM within VMware workstation Pro 15 and it will not boot. The program locks up and I have to force close. When I look at the VM settings and under the drive, it tells me "The parent of this virtual disk could not be opened". I tried to run the vmware-vdiskmanager on the 2 files that have the actual size to them. 1 "The virtual disk, 'G:\Superman\superman.uclickwefixllc.local\superman.uclickwefixllc.local-000001-delta.vmdk', is corrupted but the repair process has failed." The other file just causes the program to hang and error out.
