NVMe vs SSD - Hardware for VMWare and GNS3

I'm treating myself to a new gaming laptop for my GNS3 labs.  The laptop will run Windows 10, VMWare Workstation Pro, and GNS3.  The laptop will have two drives, 1 NVMe and 1 SSD.  My question is:

Should I place Windows on the NVMe and my VM's (including my GNS3 VM) on the SSD, or vise-versa?

Just looking for some performance opinions based on experience so that I don't have to reinstall multiple times.

PS It's a quad-core 7th gen i7 with 32GB ram and 4gb graphics card, so I assume storage will probably be the biggest slowdown.
