Good morning gentlemen, how are you? I need help!
I acquired a dedicated one in a certain company, ok? Thus, I contracted a VMWARE WORKSTATION PRO 16 license in order to virtualize the dedicated. At the company where I hired the dedicated one, I acquired 1 additional ip, however, this additional ip does not have MAC ADDRESS, it is only additional. In this way, contact them to find out what was the procedure to put the fixed (additional) IP on a machine I create. However, they inform me the following:
The additional IPs we provide are forwarded. Not
at this point it is impossible to provide routed IPs.
They have to be forwarded via the server's main IP and cannot
their own MAC addresses. The reasons behind this decision are simple -
an IP exhaust.
Using forwarded IPs saves the huge overhead generated by using small routed IPs
networks.
The solution for you is to use NAT for your vps.
Guys, I really don't understand what I'm supposed to do! Can you guide me?
