Hello
I have guest OS:win7 -32 bit and i have wireless adapter atheros AR9285.
I have installed backtrack 5 R2 in my VM-workstation.but i can not access my wireless adapter in BT5.
on running below command in terminal nothing is shown:
lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
interface chipset driver
plz help me...
Assuming I understand the configuration correctly (BackTrack Linux inside Workstation, running on Win7x32) this is normal.
The guest does not have direct access to the network hardware on the host. It has a virtual network adapter that simulates a wired connection.
If you need wireless functionality inside the guest, you can try using a USB wireless adapter, and forwarding it to the guest through USB redirection.
