My laptop reboot after launching WIN 98 on the VM

Dear all,

I have HP 450 Laptop. The host OS is WIN 7 and I am running another on the VMware (WIN 98).

I have cloned the HDD to SSD because I do not have budget to replace the laptop. Everything was working fine after the cloning process.

My colleague recommend me to upgrade to WIN 10. I have upgraded the host OS to windows 10 and all application is working fine except the WIN 98 on the VM.

Whenever I start the WIN 98 on the VM the laptop reboot automatically.

What version of Workstation are you using?  Only 14 and 15 are Supported on Windows 10 hosts.

Are you sure upgrading the VMware workstation will solve the issue?

I am wondering if my Virtual WIN 98 will stop working ?

The current installed VMware workstation is version 9.
