I used the Trial version of Workstation 6.5.3 until 2 days ago, then entered the code from the bought version. I do not know when the problem started, but I was able to read and write the DVD drive, had full use of the Internet, and had no problems other than the VM not having access to any part of the "network". That is, I could run the VM without any problem as long as I did not try to access the C: drive of the host. Now I have no access to the Internet or the DVD drive either.
My host is Vista 64-bit, my guest is Windows 98 SE.
I already tried some things but please advise me what to do. I try to save all the data on a CD/DVD and then re-install the VM and guest OS but that does not work now.
