Mouse buttons don't work on 2nd monitor

Hi --

I'm on VMWare Workstation v6.5.1. The host and guest OS are both WinXP SP3, and the machine is a Thinkpad T61p.

I'm using two monitors, and the mouse is a 5 button Logitech MX-310. (Two of the buttons are for browser navigation: a back and a forward button.)

When I bring up a browser on the host system, the back and forward button work when the browser window is in either the primary monitor or the secondary monitor. On the guest system, the back and forward button work ONLY when the browser window is in the primary monitor. When it's in the secondary monitor, they seem to be ignored.

Any idea what to do?? ... is this a known bug?? ... is there a workaround??

Thanks.

I'm surprised you get the buttons to work on the primary monitor. The VMware pointing device is a generic 3-button PS/2 mouse.

I think I read somewhere that 5 button support was added in 6.5.
