Module 'Snapshot' power on failed.

I'm using Workstation Pro 12.1.0 build-3272444 on a Windows 7 host. I recently tried to unsuspend a VM and received a message from VMWare "Module 'Snapshot' power on failed.". After searching on the internet I was able to determine this message is due to lck files that for whatever reason may not have been removed the last time the VM was running. I found two folders with the extension lck and deleted them and that solved the problem. The error message I received was of no help. How would anyone know what that means? You should add some explanation to that error message.

Clean up some disk space. I had 2 GB disk space left which was not enough for VMWare Workstation and it was failing with this cryptic error message.

I confirm that message is misleading. Just happened to me with a VM whose snapshot has been created by a crashing host before a forced shutdown.

Your suggestion to delete the .lck folders was the right solution!

Thank you! Smiley Happy
