Menu and Toolbar side by side; Don't always add to Library

Hello,

There are 2 things about VMware 8.0 UI which I don't like.

In previous versions it was possible to place the Menu and the Toolbar side by side, so you have more space for the VM console, but in 8.0 this is not possible anymore so I have to either turn off the Toolbar or lower the guest resolution. Smiley Sad

The second is related to the new Library, which always adds every opened VM to itself. I work with many VMs, many of which I need rarely and I don't want them to appear in the Library. Currently I have to remove them manually every time. I think that in previous versions it was much better having separate lists of powered on VMs and Favorites.

I hope that you will make changes in the next versions regarding my complaints.

Best Regards

You can still make the menu and toolbar take up one line: Edit->Preferences->Display->Combine toolbar and menubar in windowed mode.

As for organizing your VMs, you can still mark VMs as favorites by clicking the star icon next to a VM's name. You can then make the library show only your favorites by using the dropdown menu in the search box.

Another way would be to use the folders feature that we added in version 8. Make a folder and put your rarely-used VMs in there. You would then only have to see the VMs in the folder when you needed to use one of them.
