Memory logic of host?

Hi,

I want to clarify that if an host pc like win xp2 32-bit have 6gb mem installed will vmware ws 7 able to use that memory left i mean 2gb as 32-bit os only able to support 4gb max?

i know 64-bit os is better option but just wanted to confirm it.

Your guests can't see any more memory than the host can see. If you want to use more than 3 GB (+ a little), use a 64 bit OS.

Ubuntu 64 works nicely
