Make a Virtual Machine Think it's a Laptop - VMWawre Workstation

I have little confidence that I'm posting this in the correct place.  If I'm correct, please direct me to the correct community.

I'm running VMWare Workstation 17Pro, 17.0.1 build-21139696.

Working on developing a few things for some laptops running Windows 10 and 11.  I'd like those instances to believe that they're installed on laptops so that I can do some power settings tests, specifically, behaviors when the lid is opened and closed.  Then, I'd like to mimic the lid opening and closing.

Looking around, it seems that I ought to be able to go into the settings for a given VM by right clicking on the VM's tab > Settings > Options Tab > General > Advanced > Configuration Parameters.

However, once I click on General, I don't have Configuration Parameters.

Under the settings column, I do have "Advanced," but there's nothing in there that says anything about Configuration Parameters.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not aware of a setting to make the VM think it's a notebook.
If there was one, how would you test this?

Depending upon your skill level . . . within the Windows VM undertest:

Adding virtual lid-close switch to Windows for testing

Simulating windows laptop in virtual machine?

or alternatively, just set Windows to Sleep/Hibernate
