MIcrosoft updates failing

Windows 10 host, Windows 10 guest

I virtualized my physical machine, so the two systems are pretty similar.

My physical machine successfully installs Microsoft updates, whereas my VM does not.

The windows cumulative update from a few days ago failed to install in VM, and also one of the Office updates from a little earlier.

I tried downloading and installing manually, I tried the update troubleshooter, but they still fail.

I have a test virtual machine running Window 10 and it's failed to installed the cumulative updates for four months now. April's updates have just been released and same problem. I'm just installing a test VM from scratch to see if that fails to update.
