4. Chose the name and location

5. disk size 60 GB, store as a single file

6. Memory 4 GB

7. Number of processors 2, Cores 2

8. Used ISO image file that I have got from Cisco

9. Network adapter is: Bridged

The Cisco documentation say specify "Other Linux 32-bit". It looks like Red Hat 64-bit is for ACS 5.8.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_system/5-4/installation/g...

If you want to play safe, follow the documentation to specify "Other Linux 32-bit" (and other settings) as close as possible to be replicated into Workstation 12. When you install, specify version 8 as well. You can always change the compatibility to some higher version later.

From the screenshot, it looks like you have ACS 5.4.

And this Cisco documentation indicates supported hypervisor are ESXi 5.1 (requires ACS patch) and 5.0.

MBR I assume stands for Master Boot Record. So somehow, something went wrong with the automatic partitioning during the installation.

Specify "Other Linux 32-bit" as what the documentation indicates for ACS 5.4 instead of Red Hat 64-bit.

Since you tagged this as Workstation 10, I assume that is the version that you have.

Try changing the hardware compatibility to 8 or 9.

or

Try installing ACS 5.4 with Hardware Compatibility 8 or 9 (perhaps try 8 first). The default of Workstation 10 is version 10. ESXi 5.0 uses hardware compatibility 8 and ESXi 5.1 is HW compatibility 9.
