MAC OSX Mountain Lion, and Mavericks...

Hello,

Having installed Mac OSX Mountain lion, and Mavericks, I keep running into the same problems. "Unknown Processor", funky named display, and a ridiculous amount of Memory slots!! I've spent a couple weeks trying to find the answers to these problems online, I have worked out the list I had, down to these. I do not have Chameleon Wizard loaded, or Clover loaded, the other issues I wanted to fix I did by editing the .VMX file.

The Screen resolution issue only seemed to present itself in Mavericks, Mountain Lion gives a long list of choices. I was trying to find the answer to naming the display as a "Internal Display" as it lists on a REAL Macbook Pro. I may have just missed articles, on these topics, any help would be greatly apprciated!

Hi,

Welcome at the VMware communities forum.

Unfortunately Apple does not allow you to run a virtual macOS or OS X on non-Apple branded hardware.

Since this violates Apple's EULA (and as such the VMware Community Terms of Use), any issues you have with trying to run macOS or OS X using VMware Workstation or VMware Workstation Player cannot be discussed at this forum.

You'll need to have apple hardware and use a product like VMware Fusion or VMware ESXi and run a virtual copy of macOS / OS X on that in order for us to be able to help you.

As a result this post will be locked.

Hope you understand,
