Hi,
I'm running vmware player/workstation (happens in both..) with Host=Win7 and Guest=Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid). When first installed everything works fine. But after sleep/hibernation i lose DNS. IP/DHCP is still there: the VM guest can still ping 184.51.159.25 .. but can not 'see' www.oracle.com
How is the VM networked? Using NAT or Bridged connection ?
i have same behavior either way nat or bridged
I haven't had time to investigate further into my issue, but it sounds strangely familiar: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/325292
That issue is not the same since in my case no 'sleeping' is occurring.
Mine's not sleeping either - the screen does go blank though (within the VM window), but it's still running.
ok, but that's still not my situation. Nothing untoward is going on except no DNS
Hi anyone,
I am still experiencing this and it is a showstopper.
