Locally open shared VM ".vmx" is not allowed.

HI gurus

I have created a VM on my WS16 pro, I am very new to this tech but eager to learn , my problem is that the files are create (vmx and vmdk) but the machine does not show under computer in the WS console, and when I try to open the vmx to load I get this error

Locally open shared VM "Ubuntu.vmx" is not allowed.

can I get some help , thanks

Same issue here.  After applying my license key this message prevented my machines launch.

Within Edit - Preferences - I selected Shared VMs (Deprecated) and disabled sharing.  This allowed the launch.
