Linux host (CPUfreq), Windows 2003 guest

I am running a Gentoo, with a 2.6.20 kernel, and powernowd to modulate CPU frequency depending on current machine load. I now get the following messages, and the guest OS is running very slowly :

Mar 13 15:42:16.516: vcpu-0| TimeTracker_ApparentTimeNoLoggingReplay: PTSC_Get changed by -83550172045 (to 11547271581322); assuming TSC was reset

Is there a way around this, or is it just bad practice to use frequency management software with VMWare ?

Yes , it's bad practice to use power management software while virtual machines are running.

The virtual machine require constant CPU to have best performance and accurate timing/speed
