Linux 64bit VM - 32bit Vista Host

I have a Lenovo Laptop which Vmware Workstation says has 64bitVT capability but it has not been enabled in BIOS.

I am running Vista 32bit Business Edition.

I am wondering : If I enable the 64bit VT capabilities in BIOS, does anyone know if it will kill Vista ? Or will it just run Vista in 32bit mode as it is currently and let me load up my 64bit Linux VM?

Any help very much appreciated.

Best regards,

Enabling VT in the BIOS will not effect your Vista 32-bit host.

This will just allow you to ru 64-bit guest OS' in the virtual machine

I turned on the 64bit VT and installed a RedHat4 64 bit machine - just like that !!

Thanks for the advice, I was a bit nervy at first about screwing around with the bios settings as my laptop has been running just fine.

Thanks again for your help.
