Limited screen resolution - CentOS 5.2 on VMWare WS

I have created a CentOS 5.2 VM using Workstation 6 on Ubuntu 7.10. The screen resolution is limited to 800x600. The display adapter is shown as "VMWare Inc. Abstract SVGA II Adapter". I have not see this issue with other guest OSes - Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Win XP, Vista, Win 7 pre-beta .

Any suggestions?

Have you installed the VMware Tools inside the guest? It offers the appropriate video drivers.
