Latest Windows 10 update screws up windows 10 display on workstation 15 pro 15.5.6 build-16341506

Greetings,

Windows 10 did an update on the guest windows OS.   I am running Workstation 15 Pro.

When I click on the windows icon, The menu appears but the background behind the icons and words is transparent.

If you click on the search box a big black box appears.  You type and it will do what you type, but you cannot see the beginning

of what you are typing.

1. I have rebooted guest OS.  No change.

2. I have checked for Updates for my version of Workstation.  There are none reported by Help -> software updates.

3.  Checked of Windows updates.  None relevant.

What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Thanks for any help.

Try to disable Accelerated 3d Graphics in your VM settings.  I am currently having graphic issues with the newest Windows 10 update.

Hi,

Make sure your virtual hardware is set to the latest version and that your vmware tools is up to date.

This was reported by another user to have fixed weird screen artifacts on their Windows 10 update.
