Large files from host o\s do not copy over to guest o\s

From the guest o\s I'm trying to copy across a zip file (137 MB) that resides on the host o\s.

However i'm receiving the following error and the file does not copy over: 'Cannot copy xxxxxxx: The specified network name is no longer available.'

I can copy the file over fine from the host to the guest but not the other way round!

I've also mapped a network drive in the guest to the folder where the zip file resides and have also added the folder to VM settings > Options > Shared Folders. As far as i can understand the problem seems to be with the vmware environment and not perhaps a network issue. I can copy smaller files from the guest o\s.

The vm workstation version is 5.5.5 build-56455.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

What is your Host OS? What is your Guest OS?

Check for an updated Network Card driver for your Host's network card.

VMware Shared Folders have historically had problems. I don't recommend using them long term.

are you using the
.host name? i think ins WS 7.0 it is renamed. install newest tools and reboot the guest
