LAN network between host pc and guest os.

I have a pc with VMware installed. There is already a network between the host pc and the guest os, but when I want to share folders I have to enter a password. That is not a big problem. But I can not find each other in LAN when playing a game. Does someone know how to? No big deal if this ain't possible, because I will download a gaming VPN then.

How do you have your etwork configured for the VMs Bridged or NAT?

It sound like you have the Virtual Machine's Network Adapter set to NAT and if so set it to Bridged and then it will be a Peer on the Host's Physical LAN and accessible for the Game.
