LAN Problems

I've just installed VM Wrk 6.5 all seemed to go ok but now I can't RDP to the PC I'm running it on or ping it for any other PC/Laptop on my LAN? I can ping for the PC it's self and get internet access no problem. I ran the system restore on the PC back to before the install of 6.5 then the PC was accessable for the LAN again. Any thoughts?

I'll bet your Host is running Vista.

If you don't need to use NAT or Host-Only networking for your Guests, simply disable the two virtual network adapters installed on your Host by VMware Workstation. Start the VMWare GUI -> Edit -> Virtual Network Editor -> Host Virtual Adapters -> highlight each of the two adapters and click "Disable".

Otherwise, you can follow the instructions in one of these threads to fix the issue by making some changes in your Registry:
