Keyboard shortcuts changed on Windows 7 after exiting Server 2008 virtual machine on workstation 6.5.3

Default shortcuts like WindowsE to get Explorer are changed. WinE opens any desktop folder whose name starts with E. Other shortcuts are altered. Reboot of Windows 7 (not RC version) brings everything back to normal. Has anyone had this problem or know of a solution?

I would, except MS will blame VMware, since that is program I'm using, rather than Virtual PC.
