Hello.
Do I need to reinstall Ubuntu without updating the kernel?
I have VMware Workstation's Latest Version: 6.5.1 | 2008/11/21 | Build: 126130
Thanks in advance!!
Hello.
No, you shouldn't need to re-install Ubuntu.
See if either of these two links helps:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VMware/Workstation
http://www.vi-toolkit.com/wiki/index.php/Build_host_vmware_kernel_modules
Good Luck!
Well.... I tried the first link and when performing the commands given, I got the following error message: #
gksudo bash ./VMware-Workstation-6.5.1-126130.i386.bundle
Extracting VMware Installer...done.
Same "Kernel headers for version 2.6.24-23 were not found...." error.

Using the instructions from the second link, all installed and VMware launched without a hitch! However, when I made an attempt to install my Guest OS I received the following message (see attachment).
Any ideas?
I really appreciate your help so far!
