Kali ISO Problem

Hello, 

I'm new here and wasn't sure if this is the right place to post this. I installed VMWare Pro on my workstation, and everything went smoothly. Then, I downloaded an ISO file for Kali. I chose "Install from disc or image," added my ISO file, and clicked 'continue,' but nothing happened. I see the screen with the default OS that VMWare Pro offers, but Kali is not there. I searched on Google but couldn't find anybody with a similar problem (maybe I'm typing the wrong keys). Your help would be greatly appreciated.

VMware doesn't offer a "default OS", but a list of guest operating systems that it will support.

Kali isn't on that list, but Kali is based on Debian. If you downloaded the 64-bit installer,  choose Debian 11.x 64-bit or Debian 12.x 64-bit from the list of Linux operating systems 

(just make sure you configure a virtual disk with at least 20GB of space... Kali will error during installation if you don't have sufficient disk space to hold all the packages that it'll want to install)
