It is possible to prevent a virtual machine from being stopped by the button of VMware Workstation

Hi,

it is possible to prevent a virtual machine from being stopped by the button of VMware Workstation.

My virtual machine should be able to be stopped only with the appropriate login.

Thanks and greetings merny

I virtualized an operator terminal (Windows Server 2003 R2).

This terminal now runs virtually on new hardware with windows 10 64bit an VMware Workstation 15.0.4.

The goal is that after starting the virtual opertor terminal (Windows Server 2003 R2) this can not longer be stopped without a login.

The operator terminal (Windos Server 2003 R2) already prevent this.

All that remains to be done is to prevent the user from stopping, suspending or resetting the virtual terminal (Windows Server 2003 R2) using the VMware tool/buttons.

(see attachment)

Or is there an other way to solve this problem?

thanks for the link, it's helpful.
Now I can not find anything to prevent "Power Off" and "Reset".

Do you know a solution to this problem?

I'm not sure if this will prevent the power buttons from showing up, but I think it does.  Search for using Kiosk mode in the documentation, knowledgebase, and forum.
