Hi Guys,
At my wits end here. I am using VMware Workstation 14.1.2 Pro and have built a small lab consisting of 3 servers:
1. DC (192.168.10.1)
2. Hyper-V Host 1 (192.168.10.5)
3. Hyper-V Host 2 (192.168.10.6)
I am unable to ping between these VMs, but can ping their respective IPs when on these servers.
I have tried the following:
1. Dropped the firewall on each VM - ping failure!
2. Assigned a network card to each of them and selected Host-only: A private network shared with the host - ping failure!
3. Created a new Host-only NIC and assigned it the 192.168.10.0 IP range before assigning it to a VM - ping failure!
What am I missing, or is there anything else I need to provide?
Thanks!
The IP address with the dot one (.1) is reserved for the virtual network switch itself (eg VMnet1, VMnet8, etc).
If you want to assign static IP addresses for the VMs, use the range .3 to .127

That seems to have done the trick! Thanks very much, as well as for the link!
