Is there any way to upgrade OpenGL on fedora from 3.0 to 4.1?

I'd like to work on an OpenGL project from within a virtual machine I usually use for software development, but I checked the OpenGL version with glxinfo and it's reporting version 3.0

Is there any software/drivers I could install that would raise the supported OpenGL version to 4.1 or higher?

My Kernel version is

Linux version 4.17.19-200.fc28.x86_64 (mockbuild@bkernel03.phx2.fedoraproject.org) (gcc version 8.1.1 20180712 (Red Hat 8.1.1-5) (GCC)) #1 SMP Fri Aug 24 15:47:41 UTC 2018

Workstation Pro version is 14.1.3 build-9474260

My GPU is an nvidia GTX 1070 Ti

Hi,

Not technically possible.

The VM will not support more than openGL 3.3 core profile and you cannot directly pass the videocard to the guest.
