What type of virtual disk was it (monolithic vs. split-disk, preallocated vs growable)?

You could attach both the vmware.log file and a directory contents listing (including filenames, dates and sizes).

Hello RDPetruska,

1st sory I'm not VM experienced user, and maybe not understood terminology on the right way.

VM have one .vmdk which is deleted...so I think it's monolitic...

Accidentallly during copyin via total commander vmdk is deleted...

Sorry, the vmdk file header info isn't in the log.  I didn't expect it, but always worth investigating.

Unfortunately, if you've deleted the file, you've lost your virtual disk which contains all the contents of the hard drive of the virtual machine.   @a_p_ any other thoughts?

I'd love to help, but I'm afraid there's nothing I can do other to recommend using a file recovery tool to see whether the missing "TIA v17.vmdk" can be recovered. Even if that's the case, there's a high chance of corruption because of possibly overwritten data blocks.
