Is there a way to convert a linked clone VMWare VM to a Hyper V VM?

I have a feeling that this is probably not possible because I am going to need the reference machine too.

For example.

I have created a linked clone machine in VMWare Workstation and now I would now like to use it in Hyper V.

I think i'm just going to have to recreate the Server in Hyper V because Hyper V doesn't work with linked clones.

Create a full clone first.

That should create a new virtual disk that you can then convert into the HyperV format.
