Is now the proper time of fixing NAT problem for Windows 7?

VMware:

A problem has been revealed earlier that NAT service is not available when using Windows 7 as the host operating system. Since NAT is the most convenient way for the guest OS to visit the Internet, a lot of people are concerned about it.

The previous official answer is that Windows 7 was just a beta version hence not supported. However, a month ago, microsoft decided to make the version 7600.18365 the RTM, and downloads are available from microsoft. I think it is high time to fix the problem.

Isn't it?

Cheers, Cedric

Any news on this issue for Windows 7 RTM (32/64 bits) as a host operating system? Many of us believe that there have been no postion from VMware on this... will a beta be available soon? At least a roadmap on when on how this will be fixed.

No news. I hope this means good news.

Previous discussions come to the result that VMPlayer + NAT works, but I haven't tried it yet.
