Is it possible to import VM's from Workstation 9 into Workstation Pro 16.X?

I need to update my Windows 10 PC, but I have to remove VM Workstation 9 (Using for a very long time). I want to buy VM Workstation Pro 16, but I have to know if all current VM's in Version 9 still will be working in Version 16.x.

Hi,

Yes in principle they do.

Only some very old OS's - like windows 98 - might not work on Workstation 16 as it needs the old binary translation method for working. More modern OS's like Windows XP work fine.

The procedure is to shut down -not suspend- your VM's before uninstalling Workstation 9.

Hope this helps,
