I am running WorkStation 6.0 on my laptop and have an external raid 0 set up connected using Firewire 400. According to HD Tune, my internal hard drive has an average transfer rate of 54.1MB/s and an access time of 15.2ms while the raid 0 set up has an average transfer rate of 34.2MB/s and an access time of 13.5ms. Should I run my images off my internal disk or external raid which has a lower transfer rate but faster access time? Thanks.
