I am using Workstation 16 Pro and I am in the process to upgrade from an older I7 7700 to I9 13900 or AMD 7950X.
I have up to 20 VMs parallel active, which are running under Windows 11 and have to display about 10 websites (through Google Chrome) on each VM simultanously.
I understand, that in my case it is all about the number of cores. Intel offers 8 P cores plus 16 E cores compared with 16 P cores from AMD. Both CPUs offer 32 threads.
Will I have a real benefit by the extra number of E cores from Intel or does it not matter, because it is all bout the number of threads?
Does anybody has experience which processor will offer the better performance for this application?
