There is a strange thing happening with some of my Windows Vista VMs.
The Windows Experience Index test doesn't work anymore. It gets stuck on the Aero evaluation or it displays an error message. I need to do this step to make some test on software
And there is also another strange event:
The integrated games don't display the texts anymore. These two events always happen at the same time.
I think it has to do with VMware tools.
If anyone has a solution, thank you in advance.
I finally found a solution! ![]()
1.Uninstall "VMware tool" from the control panel.
2.Log on to this link: Here
Click on your number of bits at the bottom,
then on the file with the white icon.
Then start the download.
3.Now install it (The icon will not be the same as the last version)
As soon as you are asked to restart, restart.
4.Now the VM has restarted go to Windows games. Check if any text appears.
5.Now try the "Windows Experience Index" test.
It may make an error on your first try.
Run the test again, and it should work.
Normally the problem is solved.![]()
How does it work?![]()
I switched to an older version of VMware tool. This is the most recent version without this bug.
If the problem is still present.
Repeat the steps.
