Trying to install WS Pro 17.02 but the setup reports
"
Installer detected the host has Hyper-V or Device/Credential Guard enabled.
To run VMware Workstation Pro on hosts with Hyper-V or Device/Credential
Guard enabled, install Windows Hypervisor Platform (WHP) on the host
through 'turn Windows features on or off, or remove the Hyper-V role from
the system. Check the following checkbox if you want the installer to install
WHP on the host automatically.
"
Both Hyper-V and Windows Hypervisor Platform are disabled.
What now? Should I enable WHP ..? or maybe both?
Thanks.
VMware has a KB article https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2146361 regarding this.

Thank you!
Matter solved, after the gpedit step.
Upto a certain level I am fairly familiar with gpedit, registry settings and whatever-above-newbie-level kind of stuff.
I am sure though, if you were to show this kind of 'solutions' to others, probably 9 out of 10 (smartphone addicts) wouldn't know what this is about in the first place ![]()
Anyway, as said, matter solved. Everything working fine.
Thanks again!
