Installing multiple versions of vmware

Can two versions of vmware(7 and :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: be installed side by side ?

I need both vmware 7 and 8 on my computer.

Hi, welcome to the forums

you can only run one version. The old version will be deinstalled when you install a new one.

Why would you need two version?

Previously, i was using vmware workstation 7.x in which i have mac os x lion . But now i am using vmware 8(because windows 8 doesn't work on vmware 7). So when i ran the mac os previously created using vmware 7 it starts and stucks which was running well on vmware 7. so thats the problem. I also tried reinstalling mac os on vmware 8 using bootable .vmdk file for mac os lion but didn't work but runs well of version 7. so thatwhy i may need two versions.

Thanks for quick reply .Smiley Happy

Well,

I'm sorry but running Mac OS as guest is only supported on VMware ESXi and VMware Fusion and only when running on Apple hardware. Running it on non Apple hardware is a license violation and should not be discussed here.
