Installing OpenSuse 11.0 64-bit

Hi, I'm trying to install OpenSuse 11.0 64-bit as a VM into VMware Workstation 6.0.4 build-93057 on WinXP SP3.

With the 32-bit Version I have no problems. But with the 64-bit Version sometimes the vm freeze.

Then I only can power off the vm. SLES10-64bit SP1 works with no problem at all.

Also when I try to install the vmware tools in the vm I will get the error message, that this compiler isn't supported.

I have installed gcc, binutils, make and the kernel sources.

So has anyone getting OpenSuse 11.0 64-bit running von VMware workstation?

Check the archives of the opensuse list. I don't have the links in front of me but myself and others have posted info about opensuse 11 running as a guest. I had to build the open-vm-tools to have a functional guest. I'll try to get you some more info later.
