Increase Text Size instantly reversed by Vmware tools in WS 12 for Windows

Wmware WS 12

host: win 10x64

guest win 7x64

I change the system text size to 125 %

Windows says I have to log out and in again.

Text is bigger, but vmware tools then says it has changed and

I have to log out again.

When I log back in, text is back to 100 %

VM is not upgraded to ver 12 yet.

VM is not upgraded to ver 12 yet.

Are you saying you haven't yet updated VMware tools in the guest?  If so, you'll want to do that.  Nothing says that VMware Tools from one version works with another version of VMware workstation.

I did upgrade to the latest VMware tools.

I didn't upgrade the overall VM file.

Upgraded the version of the virtual machine and reinstalled vmware tools.

Still refuses to accept 125 % display size.

Does Vmware acknowledge this as a bug ?

Hi,

There's a couple of ways to fix that, the most logical solution is to go to settings for your Virtual Machine and uncheck the checkbox "automatically adjust user interface size"

Let me know if that helps,

OK, that worked.

Maybe new features should be off by default.
