Importing from a physical machine freezes at 5%

I am trying to create a VM by using Workstation 6.5.0 to import from a physical machine running Windows XP Home. I am running Workstation on the XP machine and trying to create the VM on a shared drive on a machine running Vista. It gets to five percent Taking a snapshot of the volume... and then just sits there for hours. I have attached the log files. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

some more thoughts and info....

The physical machine has two hard disks, one about 80Gb with about 40Gb used and one about 200Gb with 30Gb used.

When I ran the import I asked the wizard to create one monolithicSparse disk

I have been reading the FAQs wonder if it is worth me trying again but using twoGbMaxExtentFlat disks?
