I have to keep adding VM Guest to Library

My Host OS is Linux (Debian Jessie) running  VMware® Workstation 12 Player, 12.5.0 build-4352439, guest OS is Win 7

I have to add my Guest OSs after every reboot of my host.  From what I've found it has to do with this file ~/.recently-used.xbel.

Fortunately, my Linux box will go weeks without a reboot, but adding the VM to the library is getting rather tiring.

Any ideas how I can keep the VM in the library?

Thanks,

Hi,

Actually the .recently-used.xbel file is used by GTK/Gnome for keeping track of recently used applications.

It's a system setting if you want to keep that over reboots.

More details and possible ways to resolve can be found here:

Thanks for the response.  Before posting my inquiry, I had found that thread, the techniques mentioned did not resolve the issue.
