Hi everyone
I'm newbie here and with workstation because I'm trying to use it on Kali Linux but I can't.
I installed and everything seems ok but when I try to run it appears the following error:
Logging to /tmp/vmware-root/setup-3903.log
Unable to initialize building library
And when I check the /var/log/messages I show the next:
waiting module removal not supported :please upgrade
I'm reading some quiestions here in the community but I don't know how to fix it, so I hope you can help me.
Thanks!

but it works on ubuntu, centos or suse linux
possible to install other Linux OS?
Hello,
This was moved to the VMware Workstation forum. I would ensure all the PERL and other modules required by VMware Workstation are properly installed.

Hi @Ad_DT02
Not wanting to be pedantic, but usually the /tmp/vmware-root/setup-####.log file (where #### = process ID) has the best information on why the install didn't work. I would suggest looking in there for errors with a hint on where it has problems with.

Hello everbody and thanks for your answers.
The problema is with Workstation 7.1.6 because I tried with WS 10 and there was no problem with Kali=/
Finally we installed another distribution and 7.1.6 works perfectly.
Cheer!
