Hello everybody.
I am new to this community and i have been searching for a solution to my problem for a couple of weeks. I ve seen people with the same issue getting it fixed but unfortunately i havent had the same luck so far.
I am trying to install Hyper-V on my Guest OS Windows Server 2012 R2 which i am running via VMWare Workstation 10.
I try to enable Intel VT-x/EPT on my pc but VMware keeps giving me this error that it is not supported on this platform.
My platform consists of a Intel Quad Core Q9650 on an Asus P5P43TD Pro. I ve checked with Compatibility list and my CPU supports Virtualization technology. I also have the latest BIOS on my mainboard, with the Intel Virtualization Technology.
Am i doing something wrong? Am i missing something?
As a result installing Hyper-V on my 2012 R2 guest os gives me an error that a hypervisor is already running.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you for your time

Hi,

Hello and thank you for your response.
I have already tried that but still no progress. I am starting to believe that my motherboard may not support VT-x. Its the only logical assumption.I just wish that its not true because i will have to start looking for a potential upgrade which is not possible at the moment.
