[Linux Mint 20.2 Host, VMware Workstation Pro 16]
I want to encrypt all of my VMs, but I also need to be able to access their files when the systems are off-line via vmware-mount (backups, file syncing). Is there a way to unlock the systems from the command-line? I've seen the option on vmrun:
-vp <password for encrypted virtual machine>
but it requires the state of the VM to change (which hasn't worked in my tests unless the VM is actually in a state besides being shut off).
