My virtual machine suddenly failed to boot, prompt. vmdk file is not a virtual machine file.I use Vmware workstation 15. thanks!

as a first step, please provide an overview of the VM's files, i.e. the output of dir *.* (or ls -lisa in case you're running a Linux host).
