How to recover HD space

Hi,

I have been using VMware player 5.0.2 version 7 machine. I installed Linux on the machine  and allocated 100 GB Disk space.

It was working fine. Since I have another linux machine, I removed the virtual OS (linux) by selecting "Delete VM from disk".

Now my disk space are gone (those I allocated). How can I recover it?

Sometimes a recovering is possible by either a tool like PhotoRec, Testdisk etc or a company like Kroll Ontrack. If the vmdk-file was overwritten either by yourself after saving files on the same disk or regular writes by your host-os (swap file), then you lost everything...

Hi

Welcome to the communities.

When selecting "Delete from Disk" all files that comprise the VM are immediately deleted from the Disk, not place into the Recycle Bin .

same discussion which will help you , or you may tries some paid version of utility .
